I had exactly the same error message ""Cannot communicate with the company file". I was not trying to copy a file, I was trying to open a file. I last used the file on November 1st, with no problem. I am not technologically astute understatement of the year and these types of message send me into a panic mode. I tried the "Help" tab but all the stuff about firewall etc totally confused me.
I don't know what firewall I have and have no documentation. I have a deadline and I am freaking out I won't be able to access the file. Hello Thanks for chiming in on this thread.
